Families in Conflict Program

F.I.C.S. Families In Conflict Situations Program
(formerly K.I.D.S. (Kids In Divorce Situations)

The Clermont County Court of Domestic Relations has ordered your family to attend the Families in Conflict Program at Beech Acres Parenting Center because they are concerned about your children's ability to cope with the continuing changes in your family.

 

The Families in Conflict program will help your children by:

  • Reducing their isolation.
  • Provide opportunities for understanding feelings and receiving support.
  • Developing coping skills and improving communication.

The Families in Conflict program will help parents by:

  • Providing information on how children can be impacted by continuing conflict between parents.
  • Providing information on self-awareness and control.
  • Providing opportunities for support.
  • Providing access to community resources.

The program involves the children and both Mom and Dad:

  • Session 1: Children and Dads attend
  • Session 2: Children and Moms attend
  • Session 3: Children and both Parents attend
(Snacks will be provided for the children each session.)

Children will be divided into groups by school grades (grades 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9).

The Families in Conflict group will meet once a week for 1.5 hours for five weeks:

Dates:
Mondays - contact Court for next program date
Times: 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Location: Beech Acres Parenting Center, 6881 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio

This program is for school-age children from grades 1 - 9. We are not able to provide childcare for other siblings.

You must call Beech Acres Parenting Center within 48 hours to register for the class. Ask to register for the Families in Conflict Program for Clermont County. Please call 233-4706 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to register for the group.
